FAQ’S
-
a. Real Estate and Architectural photography packages – within 24 hours.
b. Portraits – within 3 business days.
c. Special Events (weddings, birthdays, quinceañera, etc.) – up to 21 days. -
The world of professional photographers is quite small. To date, I have never missed an event because of illness or injury but should that ever happen, I have a long list of photographers who would be able to step in and accomplish the task while understanding and achieving your goals for the event. There would be no change in price to you. If you would rather a full refund, that is an option too.
-
The short answer is, no. The primary reason photographers retain copyright is to be able to use those images in their portfolio – much like the portfolio I shared with you! Lack of copyright ownership only prevents you from profiting off the production or sale of the images to other people. You are certainly allowed to print, share, and send the images to anyone you’d like – maybe you could even tag me or share my contact info with your friends when you share pictures!
-
It is super important to let me know as soon as possible! Depending on the event there might be multiple photographers and videographers assisting me. Out of respect for everyone’s scheduling, please notify me right away if this happens.
-
If you hire me for real estate, you will always get at least the amount of pictures in your package! Family portraits and corporate headshots will provide 3-5 final images. Special events will vary depending on the event, for example, a wedding, will include around 60-80 final photos per hour, festivals, birthdays, or other events could be more or less.

A. A great professional photographer has a trained eye and experience to make your photos truly phenomenal. A professional photographer is taking into consideration the lighting, coloring, composition, and design of each photograph – which allows YOU to relax and be in the photos! Additionally, a professional photographer has post-production education and software that far exceeds the capabilities of what might be accomplished on your phone.
B. For real estate listings, there is now more pressure than ever for your marketing and images to be perfect, not good, perfect. During college, I worked with the Chicago Architecture Foundation to educate myself on how to capture images that best show a building – this training makes a difference in how buyers experience your home when they view your images. -
This will vary depending on the service you pick. Photography packages start as low as $100.
-
I have been taking photographs for over 35 years. During high school and college, I photographed for my school’s newspaper – sports, headshots, and photojournalism. I have been photographing professionally since 2006.

A. My style depends on what I’m shooting. In real estate my style is traditional architectural-style photography – I use lighting to showcase the home as it is, I do not wash out colors to make everything brighter, nor do I use overly wide- angle lenses to make the room appear larger. I find both of these practices disingenuous – these practices may trick buyers into visiting the house, but they will often find the truth once they arrive.
B. In portrait, wedding, and other special events, my style is a mixture of traditional-posed and also candid – I attempt to truly capture the moment and that often comes in a candid photograph. I work with each of my clients to understand what they want from their pictures and provide them with the images that fit their goals and my style. -
I use full frame Nikon (D850), Leica (Q2), and medium-format FujiFilm (GFX 100S) camera bodies. Lenses are a variety of Nikon, Fujifilm, Sigma, and Summilux. I use tripods from two manufacturing companies, Manfrotto and Benro. Lighting is from Flashpoint and Godox. Rhino Sliders are used for videography, as well as a DJI Mini 3 Pro. Real estate Matterport tours are completed with a Matterport Pro2 or Matterport Pro3.
-
The best piece of gear I own isn’t gear itself, it is ongoing training and education. I regularly take classes and training seminars on photography (whether it be a specific camera or lens training) or a style of photography, or even training on the newest version of editing software that I use.
